Got questions? We’ve got answers — because the only thing worse than bad coffee is guessing about your coffee. Here’s the no-nonsense, straight-from-the-cranky-cup FAQ about what we roast, how we ship, and why mornings are slightly less terrible with Cranky Cup™.
Specialty-grade coffee represents the top 3–5% of beans grown worldwide. It must score 80+ on the Specialty Coffee Association scale and meet strict standards for flavor, aroma, uniformity, and defect-free quality. These beans are often grown at higher elevations and hand-picked at peak ripeness for a cleaner, richer, smoother cup — exactly what Cranky Cup is built on.
Specialty coffee requires selective hand-picking, premium processing, higher-elevation farming, and strict quality control. Climate pressures, tariffs, and global shipping costs also contribute. The result is richer flavor, better consistency, and higher farming standards — worth every sip.
Yes. Global tariffs, export fees, freight spikes, climate factors, and shifting supply chains have all raised the cost of green coffee. We keep pricing fair without sacrificing freshness or quality.
Your coffee is roasted in small batches on demand — meaning it’s roasted very close to when your order is placed rather than stored on shelves. Orders typically process within 2 business days and ship quickly to help preserve freshness.
Because all coffee is roasted after the order is placed, processing may take up to 2 business days depending on timing and roaster workload. Orders are fulfilled in the order they’re received.
We currently ship only within the United States. We are not able to ship to U.S. territories, or international destinations at this time.
After roasting, each batch is stored in airtight containers that protect the coffee from oxygen, moisture, and heat — the top enemies of freshness. Our bags use one-way valves that allow natural carbon dioxide to escape while preventing outside air from entering. This helps preserve flavor and aroma all the way to your doorstep. Pods are nitrogen-flushed and individually sealed for maximum freshness.
Yes. We may offer year-round and seasonal flavored coffees made with natural flavor extracts. Sugar or calorie details are only included when applicable to that specific flavor.
Yes. Our premium pods use specialty-grade coffee and nitrogen flushing to help preserve freshness. They brew a full-flavored cup without the weak, watery taste found in many big-box brands.
Sample Packs let you try multiple roasts — blends, flavors, or single origins — without committing to a full bag. They’re perfect for exploring and finding your favorite Cranky Cup.
Yes. Each Single Origin coffee is sourced from a specific region known for unique flavor characteristics and terroir. These coffees are roasted in small batches and shipped quickly.
Shipping is $4.95 for orders under $50, and free for orders $50 and up. Processing may take up to 2 business days, and transit time typically ranges from 1–5 business days depending on location.
