What is specialty-grade coffee?

Specialty-grade coffee is the highest quality coffee available, representing only the top 3–5% of beans worldwide. It must score 80+ on the Specialty Coffee Association scale and meet strict standards for flavor, aroma, uniformity, and defect-free quality. These beans are grown at higher elevations and hand-picked at peak ripeness for a cleaner, richer, smoother cup — exactly what Cranky Cup is built on.

Why are specialty-grade coffees priced higher?

Specialty coffee requires selective hand-picking, premium processing, high-elevation farming, and strict quality standards. The result: richer flavor and better farming practices. This quality simply costs more, but it’s worth every sip.

Have coffee tariffs increased recently?

Yes. Global tariffs, export fees, climate pressures, freight spikes, and international supply chain issues have raised the cost of green coffee. We keep pricing fair without sacrificing freshness or quality.

How fresh is Cranky Cup Coffee?

Your coffee is roasted the same day it ships. Always fresh — never stockpiled.

Do you offer naturally flavored coffees?

Yes. We offer seasonal and year-round flavored coffees using clean, natural extracts. Sugar/calorie details are only included when applicable to that flavor.

Do you offer Coffee Pods?

Yes — nitrogen-sealed, specialty-grade pods that brew full flavor without the weak taste of big-box brands.

What are Coffee Sample Packs?

Sample Packs let you try multiple roasts without committing to a full bag — perfect for exploring blends, flavors, and single origins.

Do you offer Single Origin coffees?

Yes — each sourced from a specific region with distinct flavor notes, roasted fresh and shipped fast.

What are your shipping rates?

Flat-rate USPS shipping under $50 is $4.95 and free shipping over $50. Orders roast in small batches and may take up to 2 days to process. Transit time is 1–3 days.

How is my coffee packaged?

All bags use oxygen-blocking packaging with one-way freshness valves. Pods are nitrogen-flushed and individually sealed.

Do you accept returns?
